Acela Medical provides portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) to provide patients the ability to travel anywhere at anytime.  We currently have an inventory of Inogen One G3 and Respironics SimplyGo Mini POCs for rent. All of our POCs are approved for air travel with the FAA.

 

Our POCs can be rented with additional, large battery packs for long flight times and/or layovers.   Use our battery calculator to get a better idea of the number of batteries you may need on your next trip.

Details and FAQs

  1. Our Standard shipping is 2 days.
  2. Shipping weights are based off the total kit weight with accessories, plus up to 20lbs for the shipping containers.
  3. You must submit the airline Physician’s Statement or, if not flying, a prescription from your doctor before we can ship.
  4. If you cancel the rental shipment while in transit with FedEx or UPS it still may deliver to you or patient. If so, you can either refuse it or, if it was delivered before you can refuse it, you need to call Acela Medical to ensure correct return of the rental device.
  5. Shipping to and from the customer is always billed to that customer without exceptions.

  1. FAA battery requirements dictate that you have 150% of battery time for your flight time. An Acela Medical team member can assist you in ensuring correct battery for your transit.
  2. If flying, you should take multiple copies of the Physician’s Statement with you to the airport.
  3. Do Not call your POC a “tank” or “tank of oxygen”. Doing so could delay your boarding.
  4. You must notify the airline that a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) unit will be used in flight.
  1. This service is Private Pay.  We Do Not bill any insurance.** Not Government or private. Not Medicare, Not Medicaid.

Everything except for the shipping container and return label.

No, due to transport, usage, and cost of the rental package our shortest rental term is one week. Please review the cancellation policy for refund information.
